![]() But my use case basically is to jump to a note I need, such as some late Ruby code snippet or another recent note, in a super fast time with minimal keypresses etc. I’ve also tried to use the cmd+O search thing to quickly find notes, it seems like a good option too. Find the option Store and read notes on disk as: and select Plain Text Files. Files view could have a search bar, or maybe the search view could show all files by default. The current files or search view don’t really allow to fully replicate the nvAlt kind of use. Please bear in mind that you will need to install the free SimpleNote app on your iOS devices. From Synchronization, sign in to your SimpleNote account. Maybe I’m just used to it working like that, but for me it’s often very fast to find the note I need with that nvAlt/nvUltra (beta)/Bear, etc like search system where the notes are ordered by time, then filtered with search. To set up sync via SimpleNote (you must have an account with this service first) and enable note encryption, go to the Notes tab. Then a search bar lets you filter it with search terms, tags and so on. You have the notes sorted from the last modified to oldest as the default view, which makes sense because you’re usually interested in the last modified notes. It serves as a system for creating a structure that’s easier to navigate in iOS note apps, or for separating notes that might be compiled. Or, you could go with the standard approach: export as markdown in bear, and import markdown in UpNote for multiple notes. just 'copy as markdown' in Bear, then 'paste from markdown' in UpNote will do. Tweet This script is designed for people who want to sync a flat folder of notes (a la nvALT) to a more organized system of nested folders. From Bear to UpNote is quite easy, if you dont have many pictures in your notes. I don’t know if you’ve seen how some apps like Bear and nvAlt work (they’re Apple/mac only apps). Folderize - Sync nvALT notes to nested folders. Yes, I noticed you can sort them from last modified in both the files and search view. ![]()
